# The Majlis Academy

> Bilingual Arabic storybooks, phonics, classroom resources and teacher
> support for FS1, FS2 and Year 1, rooted in UAE culture. Based in Masdar
> City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Majlis Academy publishes an Arabic Learning Journey: a twelve-book
annual sequence of bilingual Arabic and English storybooks for children aged
roughly 4 to 6, each anchoring three weeks of teaching. Every book comes
with a Book Box of props and artefacts, daily lesson plans, printable
classroom resources, a phonics strand, assessment materials and teacher CPD.

Founded by Victoria Hopkin and Mufida Al Digeil.

- Audience: schools teaching Arabic as an additional language (Arabic B), and families
- Year groups: FS1 (EYFS1), FS2 (EYFS2) and Year 1, ages 3 to 6
- Structure: three levels, Sound Explorers, Shape Detectives, Code Breakers
